Festival Hall re-brand.

The existing Festival Hall logo features a line of characters engaged in various activities, presumably representing the various events that Festival Hall has been engaged in over the years. The colours do not seem to represent anything in particular, and seem to be chosen on a whim. This logo appears on most, if not all, of their existing items (website, tickets, etc), very often in solid black or reversed white on a dark background.

Final proposed outcome of brand mark and logo, in black and white and reversed.
The new mark and logo draws inspiration from a few aspects of Festival Hall. Firstly, the mark represents the shape of the building and the large blank squares that currently make up the facade. Secondly, it represents a play on the fact that Festival Hall is used as a venue for a rather large variety of things, and the three “panels” are meant to parallel ellipses (...).
As for the colours, similar but deeper shades of red and blue from the original logo are retained, and an orange hue was added to lessen the contrast.
